Chinese tech giant Huawei has announced that its affordable Android-powered Honor 5X Smartphone will arrive in the US by the end of this month for the price of $200.

Huawei Honor 5X was first launched in the Chinese market in October last year. The Smartphone is a mid-range handset and will be retailed in the US for $199. Honor 5X is the fifth flagship of the company in Honor series and this is the first Honor Smartphone to be made available in the US.

The design of the Honor 5X Smartphone is almost similar to Huawei's Honor 7 flagship. What makes it more interesting is that it shares the same hardware of the Huawei GX8 Smartphone, which seems to be a remodeled variant of the Honor 7. However, this two Smartphones differ in terms of their retail price. Huawei Honor 5X is $150 cheaper than the Honor 7 and with the price of $199, users will be able to experience the features of the GX8 but for a lower price.

The Huawei Honor 5X has a diamond-polished aluminum alloy casing. The handset features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display screen with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The device is comparable to the iPhone 6s Plus, which has the same 5.5-inch screen size, a LED-backlit IPS LCD display and the same 1920x1080 pixels resolution screen. The phone also has a pixel density of 400 ppi, which is almost similar to Apple handsets (400 ppi).

Honor 5X Smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with EMUI 3.1 on top of it. The device is powered by Snapdragon 615 paired with 2GB of RAM. It comes with a 16GB built-in storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The phone's rear camera features a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and 28mm wide-angle lens paired with a SmartImage 3.0 image processor that shoots 1080p video, while the front camera comes with a 22mm lens, with 5MP sensor and f/2.4 aperture. In addition, the handset has a fingerprint reader capability on the back and features dual-SIM phone with LTE connectivity.

Huawei Honor 5X comes in different types of color such as in Gold, Grey, and Silver.
