Chinese Smartphone maker Huawei has introduced another Honor flagship device called Honor Band Z1 at the Consumer Electronic Show 2016 in Las Vegas. This band is suitable for health conscious persons due to its fitness and exercise tracker functionality.
Huawei is a growing Chinese manufacturer known for its budget phones. One of its notable flagships is the Honor brand, which the Band Z1 came from. Honor Band Z1 is a re-launched version of the Huawei Honor Zero that was exclusively made available for the Chinese market. It was brought to India last year. Soon American consumers will be able to enjoy the power of the Z1 band as the company recently announced that it will soon be available in the US.

Huawei Honor Band Z1 has a hypoallergenic, thermoplastic polyurethane strap that comes in different colors such as black, white or cream. The device was built with stainless steel and sealed from dust and water to keep it safe. It features an IP68 ruggedness that makes it waterproof and can reach a depth of 1.5m. It is purposely made for surfing, paddling or just splashing in the pool. However, this band does not support deep sea diving.
Band Z1 sports a 1.06-inch passive-matrix OLED touch screen with a resolution of 128x128 pixels. It is powered by Cortex M4 STM32F411 processor and weighs approximately 25g, measuring 38 mmx9.5 mm (1.5 in. x 0.37 in.). The device is powered by a 70mAh non-removable battery, which according to the company will deliver four days of normal use on a full charge. It only takes 10 minutes to be fully charged.
The band also supports POGO PIN USB port, Bluetooth 4.1 and compatible with Android 4.4.4 and higher or iOS 7.0 and higher. The Band Z1 is capable of tracking user's activity, counts their steps, and keeps a record on how users sleep.
Huawei Honor Band Z1 will be retailed at a price of $80 or AU$110.
