LeTV is a well-known media giant from China, but a newbie in the smartphone industry. Nonetheless, its previously released smartphone has received good reviews from tech enthusiast. The company first veered into the smartphone industry in April 2015, and it has since made a name in the market with innovative Smartphones.

Meanwhile, Qualcomm, the company's partner in the development of its smartphones, officially unveiled the Snapdragon 820 chipset back in November. The company explained that its new chipset will only be released by the first quarter of 2016. At CES 2016 in Las Vegas, LeTV and Qualcomm officially introduced the first Snapdragon 820 powered Smartphone in the world, the LeTV Le Max Pro.

The Le Max Pro Smartphone features 6.33-inches display screen and is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM on board. The handset sports a powerful 21MP rear camera and is fueled by 3400mAh capacity battery which supports QC 2.0 for fast charging capability. The handset is the first commercial phone to come with Qualcomm's Sense ID Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It will come in three storage variants once it is released into the market, namely 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage.

Le Max Pro will support the new Wi-Fi 802.11 ad standard, which is faster than the Wi-Fi ac. The technology adds another channel for data transfer, namely 60GHz in addition to the traditional 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. Meaning, the transfer speed for this new Wi-Fi technology is capable of reaching up to 8Gbps speed, which is pretty impressive. However, the range is very small and devices need to be in direct line of sight to ensure such high-speed.

LeTV has not yet announced the pricing and release date for this device in the US, but it has announced that the phone will be available in the first half of the year.
