Chinese company Hisense, which is known for its innovative television sets, made a surprising announcement at the 2016 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) as it unveiled its newest smartphone product called Hisense C20.
The Hisense C20 smartphone, which is also known as King Kong 2, is a successor to the Hisense C1 handset.

The C20 Smartphone is powered by Android operating system and features water-resistant IP67 technology. This technology will enable the smartphone to survive in water submersion for an extended amount of time. However, before submersing the device into the water, make sure that the nub is plugged in the 3.5mm headset jack.
The smartphone sports a 5-inch 720 x 1280 (720p) panel IPS screens, which is sufficient to produce sharp detail of images. The screen features AMOLED technology that is capable of wide viewing angles and saturated colors. The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8920 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It is run by a custom Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system that seems to emulate the Windows 10 tiled interface, but it is undoubtedly static with its presentation compared to the dynamic live tiles found in the Microsoft's mobile platform. It has a built-in 16GB internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card slot.
In terms of its camera, Hisense C20 passed the mid-range smartphone qualification because of the 13-megapixel rear camera and the 5-megapixels front shooter. The handset is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery and measures 144 x 72.1 x 8.6mm. The design of the C20 is reminiscent of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S due to its metallic trim bezel that is sandwiched by Gorilla Glass 4.
The device really stood out in the crowd during 2016 CES because of its waterproof and shock resistant capabilities. Unfortunately, Hisense C20 is not coming to the US market. Instead, interested buyers will need to import it from overseas.
