Brazilian midfielder Elias Mendes Trindade of the 2015 Brazilian Serie A champions Corinthians has rejected an offer from Hebei China Fortune, expressing his desire to remain at the club this year.
Hebei China Fortune Football Club used to play in the second tier league, but the team was promoted last year to the Chinese Super League, the country's highest tier of professional football. The Chinese outfit reportedly made an $11 million bid for Elias in December last year.

Hebei Fortune is the same Chinese side that is reportedly interested in getting the services of the former Manchester United and current Internacional midfielder Anderson.
"It was a very good offer, both for me and for the club, but I don't know what happened," the 30-year-old is quoted by Brazilian portal Sambafoot.
"I have a contract to fulfil. I am at a great club so there's always a tendency for something to appear but my focus is to remain with Corinthians to play in the Copa Libertadores."
Elias began his football career with the Palmeiras, playing in the side's youth system for eight years. He went to Nautico after leaving Palmeiras, but received no wages and limited playing time. Following his bitter experience with the Timbu, he returned to Sao Paolo and signed with Ponte Preta.
After his spell with the Macacas, the midfielder was transferred to Corinthians, where quickly gained fame for his ball control.
High profile international football players are being targeted by the Chinese outfits. Recently, several South American players have agreed to shift and continue their football career in China.
Corinthians in particular has lost many of its talents (with Ralf, Jadson and Renato Augusto having left for China) and other players are expected to leave the club and move East at the close of the season, .
