'Born Rich', TVB's anniversary drama, was Lo's last TV drama project. Aired in 2009, it was heavily promoted as the network's most 'Grand Production' and has garnered several nominations in the TVB Anniversary Awards.
After the TV series ended, the 53-year-old actor focused more on his acting career in China and has already established residence in Beijing.
Wong Wai Sing, the producer for the upcoming series, revealed that he has kept in touch with Lo for the past few months, but no finalizations have been made due to the actor's busy shooting schedule in China.
Wong added that the former TVB actor was interested in portraying the role but needed more time to review the entire script.
The producer of the TV series is also yet to find a leading lady - althrough numerous people have been auditioned, none has been selected as of the moment.
"I have a few people in mind. But it's not confirmed," said Wong.
Wong explained that Lo would want to work with an actress that he has not worked with in the past. The producer promised that this would give a more refreshing appeal to the audience, along with Lo's comeback on TVB as well.
