Another player for South, Sun's teammate in Bayi, Sun Menxin, listed as a 6-feet-3 forward, also had a share of a double-double production of 21 points and 11 rebounds.
"Thanks for all players' efforts. They contributed to Sun Mengran's MVP trophy," said Zhan Shuping, the South team's head coach.

Minnesota Lynx hotshot Maya Moore, who was a MVP and a four-time All-Star in the WNBA, scored 12 points in last quarter for the North, leading a run to take the lead back. However, the South maintained their composure, and the game was sealed by a buzzer beater trey by Chen to end the game at 108-97.
Moore netted 19 points and 12 rebounds while Chinese forward Ji Yanyan scored a team-high of 24 points.
Peng Shiqing won the skills challenge at 55.6 seconds, and Li Shanshan became the three-point shooting contest champion with a score of 13.
