Mbah a Moute is known to be friends with Joel Embiid, the 3rd overall pick of the 2014 NBA draft.

The trade will materialize on Saturday when rookies will be allowed to be involved in trades. Young, 26, will be a trading block to send Andrew Wiggins, the 2014 top pick, and Anthony Bennett to Minnesota.

In July, Timberwolves president and head coach Flip Saunders clearly stated that he appreciates Young as a potential replacement for Kevin Love's services.

Philly attempted to get Bennett, the 2013 1st overall pick, to be involved in the Young deal. However, Minnesota was firm to keep him to be a part of their rebuilding process.

For Young, this may be a breath of fresh air because the talented power forward had to endure Philly's tanking campaign last season. He also have the option to walk away next season as he will be an unrestricted free agent.

Young had a career-high average of 17.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game last year. He is considered as the best player of the Sixers for the 2013-2014 season as the team was consist of players coming from the NBA development league.

As for the 76ers, the deal will land the team a guard in Shved averaging 8.6 points and 3.7 assists per game in his rookie year. Also, forward in Mbah a Moute averaging 3.3 points and 2.2 rebounds per game, his stats in 14.7 minutes prt game with Minnesota last season.
