Former NBA player Jeremy Pargo was named Asia-basket Player of the Week for an outstanding game performance for the Guangsha Lions in round 38 of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league.

Pargo, who played for the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA from 2011 to 2012, posted a very impressive triple double performance of 45 big points, grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out 11 assists in their game against the lowly Foshan Long-Lions, leading his team to a 53-point margin blowout game 166-113 victory.

With the win, Guangsha was able to strengthen its hold of the sixth spot in the 20-team Chinese league with the team record of 27 big wins and 11 losses.

The 29-year old professional basketball player had a spectacular performance in their last game shooting 66.7 percent from the 2-point range and connected with seven treys in his 11 attempts from beyond the three-point line.

The former Gonzaga University Bulldogs player is one of the league's top passers of the season being the second best behind the former NBA player Jamaal Franklin of the Shanxi Brave Dragons with 8.5 assists per game average. The Paul Robeson High School product shoots 53.3 percent from the field and has become the Lion's top player in his first season with the club.

Pargo, who went undrafted in the 2009 NBA draft, played for the Israeli professional basketball team Hapoel Gilboal Galil and went on to win the Super League's championship of the 2009-10 season. The American point guard also played for the Maccabi Tel Aviv for the seasons 2010-11 and 2014-15.

The 2008 WCC Player of the Year recipient also had a stint with the Russian professional basketball team CSKA Moscow in 2013.

He previously also played with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Philadelphia 76ers and participated in the NBA Summer League.
