James had his first triple-double game performance of the season of 21 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds, while Irving equaled his season-high 32 points and matched his career high 12 assists.

James, the Cavaliers all-time leading scorer, grabbed his final rebound late in quarter number three, with the crowd cheering aloud. Having secured the team's big lead, the superstar did not play in the fourth quarter.

"I didn't know until I sat down on the bench and I looked up at the scoreboard," the two-time NBA champion said. "Get over the hump, finally. To do it in three quarters was even more impressive. It allowed me to get some rest."

J.R. Smith finished the game with 22 points, including 6 treys from beyond the arc, while Kevin Love added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists for the victors.

Omri Casspi and Rudy Gay led the team with 16 points each while DeMarcus Cousins scored 14 points with 8 rebounds and 3 assists in the game.  It was the Sacramento's eighth loss in nine games played.

League leader in assists Rajon Rondo, who expressed his frustration, scored 7 points and dished out 16 assists.

"We can't just keep laying down, we've got to fight," he said. "We're all men. We're all grown. You can't want it more than the other person next to you does. We've got to stop making excuses."

The Cavaliers will be hosting the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers will face the Kings on Wednesday.
