Vivo Y51L Smartphone is Now Available in India for Rs 11,980

Chinese smartphone company Vivo has announced that it latest smartphone - the Y51L - is now available in India for the price of Rs 11,980.
The Vivo Y51L smartphone was assembled at the company's Greater Noida manufacturing facility. The smartphone price competes with the newly launched devices such as Huawei Honor 5X, LeEco Le 1S, and Lenovo K4 Note, since they have almost the same price (Rs 11,980).

According to Alex Feng, CEO of Vivo India, "The affordable segment is the growth driver, as the young generation today looks for a phone which is best in features, beautiful in design and is priced competitively. The new launch will further strengthen our hold on the market and help us establish ourselves among our consumers."
The Vivo Y51L smartphone features a 5-inch IPS display screen (the company has not yet revealed the specific resolution of the device) and runs on Android Lollipop-based FunTouch OS 2.5 operating system. The handheld device is powered by the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 2GB. The handset comes with a built-in 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
In terms of the camera, Vivo Y51L smartphone sports an 8-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel shooter in the front for selfies. The device also supports 4G network connectivity and other wireless technology such as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, and USB on-the-go support.
The smartphone is handy and slim in design since it only measures a dimension of 143.8 x 71.7 x 7.52mm and weight 157 grams. The Vivo Y51L smartphone is more or less an update to the Vivo Y51 phone that was launched in December last year.
