NBA's Western Conference Southwest Division leader San Antonio Spurs eased past Miami Heat with a 119-101 victory at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida on Tuesday night.
LaMarcus Aldridge, the league's 2006 second overall draft pick, scored a game-high 28 points with 4 assists and 4 rebounds, while the 2014 NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard finished the game with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. The win is the Spurs' sixth consecutive victory over the Miami Heat, going back to the 2014 NBA Finals.

Danny Green chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 1 block, while Boban Marjanovic and Jonathon Simmons added 11 points and 10 points respectively for the Spurs, who have won five straight games played.
With the win, the Spurs improved to 45 wins and 8 losses, the Gregg Popovich-led five-time NBA champion squad is just two victories behind the defending NBA titleholders Golden States Warriors.
Miami Heat, on the other hand, dropped to 29-24 and now place fifth in the Eastern Conference.
"You saw what we felt," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "The Spurs were terrific in that second half. Right now, that's a different level of basketball from where we are, right now, today. But that doesn't mean it can't change when we get back from the break."
The 2009 NBA scoring champion Dwayne Wade dropped 20 points on 9 for 12 shooting on the night, while two-time NBA champion Chris Bosh added 18 points with 5 rebounds and 1 steal for Miami.
Hassan Whiteside contributed 14 points and six rebounds prior to getting ejected in that pivotal possession in the fourth. Whiteside was whistled for a flagrant-2 for elbowing the Spurs' Marjanovic as they tried to get position for a rebound.
Miami Heat will be visiting the Atlanta Hawks on February 19 and the San Antonio Spurs will be hosted by the Orlando Magic on Wednesday for their next game.
