Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. has launched its latest smartphone - the Y6 Pro -, which is a variant of last year's Y6 model. The Huawei Y6 Pro is the international version of the Enjoy 5 handset that was launched in the Chinese market back in October 2015.

In terms of the specifications, the Huawei Y6 Pro features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display screen with a 720 x 1,280 pixel resolution. This device comes with a metal frame, weighing about 160 grams and measures 143.1 x 71.8 x 9.7 mm.

As for the camera, the Y6 Pro sports a 13 megapixel rear-facing unit with an f/2.0 aperture, LED flash, Panorama, face detection, HDR and auto focus capability. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel shooter. Under the hood, the phone packs a Mediatek MT6735P chipset, Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, and a Mali-T720MP2 graphics processing unit.

The processor is accompanied by 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in memory storage and a massive 4,000 non-removable mAh battery. It comes with the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box, along with the Emotion UI 3.1 Lite.

Other specs include dual-SIM functionality, support for Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity. The Huawei Y6 Pro is currently available in grey, white and gold colors. Unfortunately, it's still unclear when and where exactly the phone will become available and how much it will cost.

Meanwhile, Huawei recently announced that it has shipped around 10 million P8 Lite smartphones since the device was launched back in May 2015. The Chinese giant is currently recognized as the second foremost smartphone makers in China, behind smartphone king Xiaomi Inc., and ahead of Oppo and Vivo. The company is expected to sell about 120 million smartphones this year.
