NBA Recap: Cleveland Cavaliers Beat Los Angeles Lakers, Pay Tribute to Kobe Bryant

(Photo : gettyimages.com) LeBron James scored 29 points and dished out 11 assists for a double-double performance as the Cavaliers took on the Lakers.
The 2015 Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the last game of Kobe Bryant in the Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland Ohio on Wednesday night before the All-star break.
Bryant, who is set to retire after this season, was given a tribute by host team with a video presentation of some of his best moments. He scored 17 points with 6 rebounds 3 assists and 1 steal in their 120-111 loss to the gracious host Cavaliers.

"It felt great to play here so many years and get that type of reaction," the five-time NBA champion Bryant said of the crowd's salute. "It was really special."
Kyrie Irving and LeBron James led Cleveland to their 38th win in 52 games played.
The 2014 NBA All-Star Game MVP Irving finished the night with a season-high 35 points to top all scorers. The 23-year-old point guard also registered 7 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals in his 35.5 minutes of action in the game.
James, who has two NBA championship rings with the Miami Heat, scored 29 points and dished out 11 assists for a double-double game performance.
With the win, the Cavaliers have strengthened their hold on the top of the conference team standings, leading 3 and 6 victories ahead of Toronto and Boston respectively as of date.
Kevin Love, who was feared to have re-injured his left shoulder in the first half of the game, managed to contribute 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal in his 19.40 minutes in the hardcourt.
Lou Williams scored a team-high 28 points, while the Gilas Pilipinas prospect Jordan Clarkson chipped in 22 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 1 steal for the Lakers.
The Cavaliers will be hosting the Chicago Bulls on February 18, while the Lakers will play host to the Western Conference powerhouse San Antonio Spurs on February 19.
