To many, Lim may currently be at the height of her career, so it came as a shock when the actress suddenly announced that she is retiring.
On Friday, Lim posted a photo of herself on social media with confetti flying around her as she smiled for the camera. However, the update did not come as good news for her fans as she was announcing her retirement.
On Facebook, Lim wrote that she had been thinking about making certain "changes" in her life and has already decided on it, adding that "it has to be done."
"I'm all set and I'm retiring," the actress wrote, telling her supporters to be happy for her.
The actress did not specify the reason behind her decision to suddenly quit. Lim acknowledged that she is aware many of her fans would like to know the reason behind her decision to stop acting, and assured them that she will be answering their questions "real soon."
She posted yet another video to update her fans, and it seemed to have been a breath of relief for them since the actress stated that her career is not yet over.
"I'd like to encourage my fellow young professionals to plan for the future - eventualities that we might never had been prepared for," she wrote, after citing that neither she or anyone else knows when her career would end.
