Recent reports say that a "blockbuster deal" between the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Boston Celtics that involves superstars Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love still has a chance of happening as the NBA trading deadline approaches this week.

According to New York Daily News' Frank Isola, the Celtics and Cavs have already talked about a potential "blockbuster" trade that is centered on three-time NBA All-Star power forward Love.

He added, though, that there are also "very preliminary discussions" going on that could include the Knicks' Anthony to the deal. However, the nine-time NBA All-Star must give up his no-trade clause to make the trade possible.

ESPN noted that Anthony "reiterated that he has no plans to exercise his no-trade clause and leave the New York Knicks".

"There's always some trade s--- going (on)," said Anthony during a radio interview last Saturday. "I'm not going anywhere."

Anthony also said "with a laugh" that trade rumors are part of being in the biggest media market in the NBA and "you're always up for grabs" and so he does not "pay attention to those rumors".

The former Denver Nugget had always been vocal about his desire to win the championship with the Knicks and his commitment to stay in Phil Jackson's master plan in achieving it.

"I want to win a championship. At this point in my career, that's the only thing that I really care about," said Anthony. "But I'm not, I mean, there's nothing out there for me right now. I'm not even entertaining no trade talk right now."

In the rumored trade, Anthony will land with the Cavs to play alongside best buddy LeBron James in a potentially lethal combination. The Boston Celtics get Love while New York receives "draft picks and players in return", with one of those players predicted as Timofey Mozgov, who ironically was included in the trade by the Knicks to acquire Anthony from Denver half a decade ago.

The talks about this blockbuster three-way deal "have not progressed" with only days before the league's deadline of swapping players arrive.
