Spanish midfielder Juan Mata of Premier League side Manchester United is reportedly on the radars of three different cash-strapped Chinese Super League outfits.

There are unconfirmed reports that at least three unnamed Chinese Super League clubs have been in contact with the Old Trafford-based football club regarding the Spanish player.

The chances of Mata becoming a surplus for the Red Devils  is considerably big should Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho take over the side.

Mourinho is being linked to replace the veteran Dutchman Louis Van Gaal, who is currently in charge of the side, in the summer. He sold Mata to United from Chelsea in January 2014 for $53 million.

Last month, the Spaniard was been linked with a move to La Liga side Atletico Madrid, but the Colchoneros are allegedly struggling to come up with the $43 milion asking price - along with the player's $245,451-a-week deal.

Mata, 27, Mata began his career in football at Real Oviedo in the Segunda Division in Spain. He joined Real Madrid Youth Academy, La Fabrica when he was 15 years old.

In March 2007 he signed to the La Liga club Valencia CF before moving to the Premiere League club Chelsea in August 2011.

Mata has represented Spain at under-16, under-17, under-19, under-20, and under-21, in the Olympics and in senior levels. He was included in the Spain's line-up that competed in the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup.
