Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. has opened a new store in Ghana, where local consumers can have the opportunity to buy and experience the company's products and premium devices. The new store was established in partnership with major distributors in the country.

Among the devices that are currently on display at the shop include Huawei's Ascend Mate 7, the Huawei G8 and the Huawei P8 smartphones.

The Huawei Mate 8 handset that was launched in 2015 in the Chinese market is also expected to be available at the shop sometime this month. Last month, this phone made its way into the Middle East, Kenya and Nigeria.

Robin Sun, Huawei's Manager of Device Business in Ghana, said in a statement that  "Huawei is a broad-minded and consumer-centered organization which recognizes the need to spread its services to existing and prospective customers."

"The experience shop will offer consumer-friendly services to the people of East-Legon and its environs," Sun added.

In addition to Huawei's devices, the shop is currently offering local buyers the chance to receive free Huawei t-shirts, Bluetooth speakers, memory cards, and tablet covers, among others.

Huawei launched its G-Power smartphone recently in the Nigerian market. The G-Power features a massive 4,000 mAh battery that enables users to talk for up to 39 hours and it also comes with a power sharing capability. This device is currently available for purchase in the region via online retailer Jumia.

Back in China, Huawei earned the second place of the top smartphone manufacturer in 2015, behind Xiaomi Inc. and ahead of OPPO Electronics and Vivo. The Chinese company is predicted to sell around 120 million smartphone units in 2016.
