CBA Quarterfinal Round 3: Defending Champion Beijing Ducks Extend Series, Beat Xinjiang Flying Tigers 117-99

(Photo : gettyimages.com) Stephon Marbury led all scorers as Beijing Ducks walloped the Xinjiang Flying Tigers with his game-high 37 points to go along with 6 assists and 4 rebounds.
The defending champions Beijing Ducks refused to be swept as they got the better of the series leader Xinjiang Flying Tigers 117-99, to extend the quarterfinal round to game number four in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday night.
The Ducks led from the early minutes of the game and ended the first half of the match with a seven-point lead 63-56.

In the third quarter of the action, Beijing continued their dominance over the Flying Tigers with a steady 29-26 run to further increase their lead to ten points 92-82 going in to the final quarter of the game.
Xinjiang was not able to win any of the quarters as they only scored 17 points against the 25 points the Beijing-based basketball squad made during the final twelve minutes of the ball game. The series now stands 2-1, with the Flying Tigers still holding the lead.
Former NBA All-Star and current CBA star Stephon Marbury led all scorers with his game-high 37 points to go along with 6 assists and 4 rebounds, while former Atlanta Hawks player Randolph Morris contributed 28 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist to help the Ducks register their first playoff win this season.
Beijing's forward Zhai Xiaochuan added 12 markers and 5 boards, while team captain Sun Yue and guard Zhang Qingpeng finished the evening with 11 points apiece.
Beijing Ducks shot 60.8 percent from the field and made 16-of-19 from the free-throw line during the game. It was a great shooting game for the Ducks, who registered a solid 52.4 percent shooting accuracy from the three-point marker.
Former Brooklyn Nets player Andray Blatche fired a team-high 28 points and 8 rebounds to go along with 7 assists, while AmericanBryce Cotton scored 15 points for the Xinjiang squad. Flying Tiger's forward Li Gen and NBA prospect Zhou Qi scored 13 points each, while Liu Wei added 10 points.
