CBA Recap: Sichuan Blue Whales Advance to Semifinal Round, Sweeps Series 3-0

(Photo : gettyimages.com) Mike Harris paced Sichuan with a spectacular double-double game performance of 41 points, to beat all scorers, and 13 rebounds with 3 assists.
Sichuan Blue Whales overpowered Zhejiang Guangsha Lions with a 123-113 victory to finish their series with a clean sweep of 3-0 and move to the league's semifinal round on Friday night.
The first three quarters of the game were close, with the Blue Whales ended the first half with a 3-point lead advantage 62-59 as they headed to the locker room. The Lions were able to get the better of them in the third quarter with a 28-27 run to close the gap within a basket 89-87 heading to the final quarter of the game.

In the final twelve minutes of the game, the Blue Whales were able to capitalize on their size advantage and better ball movement. Sichuan registered a team-combined 22 assists and made 23-of-28 free shots from the foul line during the game.
Series leader Sichuan outscored the Zhejiang Guangsha with a 34-26 run in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
American reinforcement Mike Harris paced Sichuan with a spectacular double-double game performance of 41 points, to beat all scorers, and 13 rebounds with 3 assists. Harris was also superb from the free throw line going 9-of-9 during the night.
Justin Dentmon added 31 points and 4 assists, while the Iranian veteran center Hamed Haddadi contributed big 20 points and 17 rebounds with 9 assist for the winners.
Chinese guard Wang Ruheng and forward Meng Da finished the night with 15 points and 7 seven points respectively for the Sichuan.
Zhejiang Guangsha's Taiwanese guard Chi-Chieh Lin scored a team-high 27 points and grabbed 8 rebounds with 5 assists, while the team's American reinforcements both registered a double-double game production. Jeremy Pargo dropped 25 points with 10 assists, while Elijah Holman scored 22 points with 10 boards.
Sichuan will be facing the Liaoning Flying Tigers, who swept the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in their series 3-0, to enter the semifinals.
