All-Star Isaiah Thomas had an impressive double-double game with 22 points and 12 assists to go along with 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block shot, to lead the Celtics to demolish the Nuggets, who have lost two consecutive games. The 5-foot-9 point guard went 7-of-16 from the field and connected 3-of-7 from beyond the arc area.

"They were kind of doubling me, keeping two guys on me until I gave the ball up," Thomas, who went perfect 5-of-5 from the foul line, said. "My job is to make the right play, read the defense, and the guys were knocking down shots."

The Celtics claimed their 33^rd victory in 57 games played and are now 16-14 on road this season. They have beaten Denver for a fourth time in a row.

Avery Bradley contributed 20 points for the Celtics, who led by as many as 26 points in the first half. Ohio State University product Evan Turner contributed 17 points while shooting 6-of-8 from the field. Jared Sullinger, the 2012 NBA draft 21^st overall pick, had 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The Nuggets are currently 11-16 at home and with a record of 22-34 in the Western Conference. They were beaten by the Celtics in rebounds, 48 to 36, including 15 to 6 offensive rebounds. They yielded 60 points in the paint and allowed Boston to score 24 points in transition.

"Our defense is still somewhere in the Caribbean," Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. "It was a lot more than just a lack of energy. It was a lack of fight, a lack of togetherness. ... I thought we were a very selfish team, two things that I hate to see from any team, so hopefully we can find a way to straighten that out in the very near future."

Rookie center Nikola Jokic led Denver with 23 points and 13 rebounds.
