The new Huawei Mate Book comes in several variants with differing specs all around. The tablet PC features a 12-inch 2160×1440 IPS LCD display screen, which is quite impressive for a tablet. The device comes in two variants such as the 4 GB and 8 GB of RAM model. What makes this device very interesting is that it comes with three large built-in internal memory storages, which includes the 128GB, 268GB and 512GB model. The 2-in-1 device also comes with a dockable keyboard.
The Mate Book tablet is powered by an Intel M processor and is the second Huawei device to come with a USB-C slot after the Nexus 6P. Another innovation brought by Huawei in this device is a new digital pen that accompanies the Mate Book. The latest digital pen is called the MatePen, which according to the company, has 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity suitable for handwriting or drawing.
The MatePen also features two multi-function buttons at the front that serves as the left- or right-clicks button of a mouse when the pen is close to the screen. User can also use the pen in a distance to quick-launch apps or control slideshows. In addition, the pen also comes with a laser pointer at the back, making it very suitable for business meetings or PowerPoint presentations. Huawei claims that the MatePen can last up to 100 hours after just one hour of charging, so it will be ready to go whenever you pick it up.
The Huawei Mate Book starts at $699 to $1599 depending on the variant. The accessories for this tablet will be sold separately. The keyboard and MatePen will cost $129 and $59 respectively.
