Jackson dropped 23 points, with 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals, while Caldwell-Pope added 19 points. 4 rebounds and 2 steal.
"It had been a long time since we got a win - coming up on three weeks - so we definitely needed it," Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said.
"You've seen it all year: We're capable of beating anybody and we're capable of losing to anybody. The guys felt good about themselves tonight, and I think everyone played well defensively the whole game."
Center Andre Drummond chipped in a double-double game performance of 16 points and 15 rebounds to go along with 2 steals and 1 block shot, while the Pistons newest acquisition Tobias Harris contributed 14 points in his first game for the club.
LeBron James, who scored 25 points in their recent game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, finished the night with just 12 points, 8 rebounds. 5 assists and 3 steal with 6 turnovers in 37.30 minutes playing time. He went 5-of-18 from the field and hit zero from beyond the arc in his four attempts during the game.
"I probably should have had about 12 of them," said James, who acknowledged lacking energy on the back end of a back-to-back.
Kyrie Irving had 30 points, 5 assists and 2 steals and Kevin Love added 24 points, 7 boards and 3 assists for Cleveland, who ended their five-game winning streak.
The Cavs now are currently 40-15 and suffered their fifth game loss in 28 games played at home this season.
