Western Conference Pacific Division third ranking team Sacramento Kings escaped with a stolen victory against the Northwest Division fourth ranking side Denver Nuggets with a 114-110 win at the Pepsi Center on Tuesday night.
All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins finished the evening with a game-high 39 points, including go-ahead free throws with 48.3 seconds remaining on the game clock. He also had 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 shot blocks and a steal - that secure the King's triumph. The 2010 NBA draft 5th overall pick managed to steal the ball from the dribbling D.J. Augustin and was fouled before converting the two free shots.

"I'm just playing my game," Cousins, who registered his 53rd career with at least 30 points, said. "That's the best way to put it."
Forward Rudy Gay chipped in a double-double game production of 16 points and 10 rebounds to go along with 4 assists, 4 steals and 3 block shots in 36.28 minutes for the Kings. This win, the third in a row for the Kings, improves their record on the road to 10-18.
The Kings went to the locker room with an eleven-point advantage 61-50. They managed to stay focus and composed with a 30-27 run in the third quarter to widen the gap to 14 points 91-77 going in to the final twelve minutes of the match.
Sacramento seemed to be headed toward an easy victory before the Nuggets went on quite a run and closed the gap within a point through a three-point shot by the rookie Nikola Jokic with 10.6 ticks to go to make it 111-110.
Darren Collison hit one of two free throws for Sacramento, setting up a frantic finish. The Nuggets dumped the ball down to Arthur, who had it ripped away by Cousins.
Will Barton led the Nuggets with 18 points, while Danilo Gallinari added 17 points.
The Sacramento Kings will be hosting the San Antonio Spurs and the Denver Nuggets will visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.
