NBA Recap: Cleveland Cavaliers Defeat Charlotte Hornets, LeBron James, Kyrie Irving Score 23 Points Each

Cleveland Cavaliers superstars LeBron James and Kyrie Irving paced the Eastern Conference leading team to overpower the current eight-best club in the East Charlotte Hornets with a 114-103 victory at the Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday night.
Both James and Irving finished the night with 23 points each to lead the 2015 NBA Finals runner-up to their 41st triumph in 56 games played this season. The Cavs improved their record to 24-5 at home and bounced back from a sloppy loss against the Detroit Pistons on Monday.

James, who moved into third place in history of the franchise in rebounds (4,676), went 8 for 13 from the field, connecting 2-of-4 from the three-point marker and making 5-of-8 from the foul line. He posted 7 boards, 7 assists and 2 steals in 30.19 minutes.
Irving had 6 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal in 32.09 minutes of playing time.
Cleveland was able to close the first half of the game with an 11-point lead 63-52. The Cavs dominated the second half, pushing the lead to 24 points in the fourth quarter. The team managed to lessen their turnovers to just nine and shot 40.6 percent from beyond the arc region, hitting 13 treys of their 32 attempts.
The Cavaliers latest acquisition from a trade deal last week, Channing Frye, chipped in 15 points while shooting 5-of-9 from the field. The former Orlando Magic forward went 4 for 8 from the three-point area in 17.35 minutes on the court.
The Hornets, who had been victorious for four straight games on the road and five straight overall, was led by guard Kemba Walker, who scored a team-high 20 points with 6 assists and 2 rebounds, while Frank Kaminsky and Al Jefferson contributed 16 points and 12 points respectively.
Charlotte suffered their 27th loss in 56 games played this season.
The Cavs will be visiting the East second-best squad Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers will be hosting the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.
