The Dub's Splash Brothers did it again. NBA's incumbent Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry and the 2016 NBA Three-point shootout king Klay Thompson led the defending champions Golden States Warriors to a victory over Miami Heat with a 118-112 win at the AmericanAirlines Arena on Wednesday night.

Curry, the league's scoring leader, hit back-to-back three-pointers in the dying minute of the game. He got a go-ahead trey over Miami center Hassan Whiteside's outstretched arm with 39.6 ticks remaining on the game clock to put the Golden State Warriors ahead by two points 110-108.

"It was a huge test," Curry, the league's 3-point leader said. "On the road, any time you play against a playoff basketball team, it's going to be a tough task."

Curry finished the night with 42 points including the 6 of the 12 three-pointers he fired during the game, while shooting 14-29 from the field. He has tied Atlanta Hawk's Kyle Korver's NBA record, making a 3-pointer in his 127th consecutive regular-season game. He has a chance to take the record outright when the Warriors play in Orlando on Thursday.

Thompson, who scored 15 straight points in the fourth period, added 33 points, including the 4-of-8 from beyond the arc. He went 13-of-25 from the field and made a perfect 3 for 3 from the foul line to help the Warriors claim their 51st victory in 56 games played this season and to lead the all-time series against the Heat, 28-27.

The Heat closed the third quarter with a 3-point lead 83-80 going in to the final twelve minutes of the ball game. The Warriors were able to make a 38-29 run in the fourth quarter with the superb shooting of Thompson and Curry in the final period.

"Miami outplayed us much of the game," Warriors coach Steve Kerr told. "But we hung in there until Steph and Klay took over."

Dwayne Wade scored 32 points and Hassan Whiteside added 21 points for the Heat, who drop to 32-25 this season.
