CBA Semifinals Round 3: Sichuan Blue Whales Eliminate Xinjiang Flying Tigers to Enter Finals With 3-0 Sweep

Sichuan Blue Whales got the first ticket to the league's finals event after crushing the Xinjiang Flying Tigers with a 115-104 victory to take a 3 -0 series sweep in the semifinal round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Wednesday.
Former University of Washington Huskies Justin Dentmon led the Blue Whales with game-high 36 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists, while Iranian veteran center Hamed Haddadi added a remarkable double-double game performance of 29 points and 18 rebounds with 2 assists.

American reinforcement 2010 NBA D-League MVP Mike Harris chipped in an impressive double-double production of 23 points and 13 boards.
Chinese forward Meng Da had 9 points and 4 rebounds and forward Zhang Chunjun added 6 points and 4 boards for Sichuan, who have won six successive games since the start of the playoff season of the league.
Xinjiang began the first quarter getting the better of the Blue Whales as the team managed to stage a 27-20 start. However, Sichuan started to take control of the game with a 36-30 run to end the first half of the game trailing by just half-a-basket, 57-56.
In the third period of the match, Sichuan limited the Flying Tigers to just 24 points, while continuing to do more damages as they ended quarter number three with an eight-point lead 89-81 going in to the final twelve minutes of the semifinal match.
The Flying Tigers failed to find an antidote as Sichuan held them to just 23 points while producing 26 points to wrap up their series sweep.
Sichuan won the battle for the boards, outrebounding Xinjiang 52 to 39. The Blue Whales also took advantage of the 28 personal fouls committed by the Tigers and converted 31-of-38 free shots in the foul line for an 81.6 percent shooting.
Xinjiang reinforcements Andray Blatche finished the game with a team-high 33 points, while Bryce Cotton was held to just 18 points, 6 assists and 1 rebound.
Sichuan will be facing the winner of the game between Liaoning Flying Leopards and Guangdong Southern Tigers. The Leopards are currently leading the series 2-1.
