Starting guard Rajon Rondo, who heard a lot of boos from the host team's audience, finished the evening with 18 points and 12 assists for another double-double game production under his name.
"We've lost four in a row, playing against another tough team in the West," Rondo, who went 8 for 14 from the field in 37.41 minutes in the hardcourt, said."They've been playing well at home as of late so it was a good win for my team."
Rondo became a Dallas Maverick point guard after a midseason trade last season. He appeared in 46 games for the Mavericks and averaged 9.3 points, 6.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 28.7 minutes of playing time.
The four-time NBA All-Star had an ugly split with the team. He was given a one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team following a heated exchange on the court he had with the team's head coach Rick Carlisle.
The Kings ended the third quarter with 73-69 lead. In the final twelve minutes of the match, Sacramento was able to control the game and established a 14-point lead 94-80 with 5:04 left to play. Dallas cut down the deficit to just five 100-95 with 1:03 minutes remaining.
Sacramento hanged on to claim the win with Darren Collison converting both free throws after Williams fouled him to make it 104-99 with 4.2 seconds left in the game clock.
Chandler Parsons led Dallas with 28 points, while Dirk Nowitzki and Deron Williams added 16 and 15 points, respectively.
