"There was some yelling that took place at halftime," Jackson, who scored 15 points in the first half for the Pistons, said. "But we talked about it ourselves and said we just need to go out and get this win and we got it."

Starting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who shot 9 of 21 from the floor, dropped 23 points with six assists. Tobias Harris contributed 21 points and eight boards to strengthen the Pistons' hold on a playoff position in the tight Eastern Conference.

The 76ers ended the first half with a 57-52 lead, but Detroit made a 38-30 run in the third period and cap the quarter with a 90-82 advantage.

The Pistons continued their second half storm fueling a 35-24 charge in the fourth quarter to take home the victory.

Detroit registered a 53.8 percent field goal connecting 49 shots of their 91 attempts. They also went 9 for 18 from the three-point range for an impressive 50.0 percent shooting accuracy. However, the Pistons committed 13 turnovers during the game and allowed 18 fast break points for the host team.

"Look, we didn't play very well," Van Gundy, who guided the Pistons to a 34-32 record as of writing, said."We play about eight minutes of defense a night. My experience is that's not going to be enough."

Isaiah Canaan led Philadelphia with 22 points, while Carl Landry and Ish Smith added with 18 points and 16 points respectively.

The Pistons will be visiting the Washing Wizards on Monday, while the Brooklyn Nets will host Philadelphia on Tuesday.
