Three Liaoning Flying Leopards players were sent to undergo medical check-up after their involvement in a mass brawl with fans of their Chinese Basketball Association league finals rival Sichuan Blue Whales on Thursday.
According to Xinhua, Guo Ailun, Li Zhixuan and He Tianju flew back to Shenyang from Chengdu, where they played the Game No. 3 of their best-of-seven series. The three players were pulled away from the airport without giving any remarks to the chanting Liaoning followers.

Guo, 22, a Chinese national team guard, was seen exchanging punches with Sichuan fans. The Flying Leopard hotshot explained the incident on his blog.
"To the fans in the Sichuan hotel: It could not be a problem however you cursed me or provoked me. As I chose this profession, what I should have done is to endure that kind of things," the shooting guard, who was the 2012 CBA All-Star Skill Challenge winner, said. "But if my family was involved, I needed to protect them. This was an instinctive reaction for me as a son. I did not need to give it a second thought."
Forward He Tianju, who scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in their 109-104 lost in Game Three, reposted Guo's blog with a remark: "You just said what I wanted to say. Under that circumstance, I chose to be a son rather than a player."
The untoward incident occured after the game between Liaoning and Sichuan. Some unruly Sichuan fans were reportedly confronting the fathers of Guo and He at the lobby of the team's hotel. The mass brawl erupted after He, Guo and some other Liaoning players came to rescue.
The CBA administration office told Xinhua that they are waiting for the results of a police investigation before they will decide how to deal with this incident.
The Blue Whales currently lead the series at 2-1 and they will still enjoy home court advantage as game number four and five will be staged in Sichuan.
