New information has been leaked that describes being able to create modifications for vehicles in the highly anticipated GTA Online Heists DLC.  The leaked information has surfaced a numerous amount of rumors claiming the possibility of Heists being implemented as early as the next GTA 1.17 Update.

"Shadowknife" from the GTA Forums when searching through source code leaked the modifications information.

YouTube gamer "DomisLife" with over 400,000 subscribers recently confirmed the modifications leaked information as well, while also describing what he thinks the modifications will consist of.

He mentions GTA V Online adding footstep bars on the sides of vehicles including armored trucks and vans - similar to SWAT, which in a Heists mission would allow the whole group to be able to ride on one vehicle.

Considering you're going to be taking heavy fire in certain Heists missions, there's also the possibility of being able to add extra armor on the Heists vehicles. Not the typical GTA Online invisible extra armor, but possibly the concept of metal plates being welded on to certain vehicles could be implemented into the game as well.

DomisLive is a credible source when it comes to leaked information. He first backed a hacker enthusiast called "St3v3hacker" who released information about the gold paintjob, pure black window tint and pink and brown tire smoke.

Most recently, St3v3hacker leaked information including thermite bombs, a flare gun and a new rifle being implemented into the Heists DLC, which I covered in a previous article.

DomisLive and many other gamers now believe GTA Online fans will be able to experience Heists as early as next month in the 1.17 Update. The rumors around the gaming community describe the "Flight School 1.16 update" Rockstar released as being just a seasonal update and a placeholder for a much bigger DLC that will be coming out soon.

It remains to be seen whether that's the Heists DLC, Zombies DLC (though if Zombies were being implemented, I'd assume it'll be during the Halloween DLC), or the also highly anticipated Casino DLC.
