Ten out of the 16 contestants of Miss Hong Kong 2014 has finally been chosen during the semi-finals pageant last August 24. All 10 candidates would be competing for the crown on the last round of the Miss Hong Kong pageant on August 31.

The judges who were chosen for the events included actresses Charmaine Sheh, Li Yundi, Winnie Ng and actors Bosco Wong and Kennedy Wong. During the semi-finals pageants, the judges have decided to eliminate six contestants.

The candidates who have been taken out of the pageant were contestants #2 Rosina Tang, #4 Maggie Chung, #8 Jamie Lee, #10 Jessica Hung, #14 Fiona Fung and #16 Mandy Man.

According to media reports, it had been Jamie Lee's third time competing in the Miss Hong Kong pageant. As it turns out, the aspiring beauty queen hadn't been successful.

On the other hand, contestant #4 Maggie Chung stated that she was really upset of the outcome. She has claimed to be lacking in many areas and that her competitors were all too strong.

Contestant #11 Sofiee Ng, who has been a favorite from the beginning of the contest, made it to finals. Next Sunday, nine other contestants will be competing along with Sofiee Ng for the Miss Hong Kong crown.

The list included contestants #1 Jan Tse, #3Linna Huynh whom Kristal Tin named as one of her favorites, #5 CK Leung, #6 Yammi lam, #7 Katherine Ho, #9 Erin Wong, #12 Janet Choi, #13 Crystal Wong and #15 Veronica Shiu, also one of the favorites.

Carol Cheng, Nat Chan, Kenneth Ma and 'Black Heart White Soul' star Kristal Tin were chosen to be celebrity voters and were given the task to test the contestants based on their wit.

On the other hand, the semi-finals event was hosted by Wong Cho Lam and Amigo Choi.

So far, the 10 candidates were able to impress the judges during the semi-finals, however, we have yet to see who would win the crown in this year's Miss Hong Kong pageant.
