The beautiful Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, recently revealed how she decided on the present she gave Queen Elizabeth for Christmas

The upcoming special, "Our Queen at Ninety," which will air on ITV, Duchess Kate shares her first-ever Christmas experience with the Royals, as well as the very special present she decided to give Queen Elizabeth. According to the Telegraph, the Duchess exerted a lot of effort into thinking of a suitable gift for the Queen, before she decided to create something homemade.

"I was thinking, 'Gosh, what should I give her?'" she said. "I thought back to what would I give my own grandparents. And I thought, 'I'll make her something,' which could have gone horribly wrong."

The mother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte eventually decided to make her granny's chutney for the Queen. And while she was worried at first, she was relieved and also surprised when she saw the chutney the following day on the table.

Seeing the chutney on the table was what she described as a "simple gesture" but something that really meant a lot for her. Kate continued to describe the Queen and merrily revealed that her gesture shows "her care in looking after everybody" as well as how thoughtful she is.

While she did not mention what kind of chutney it was she made, People reports that it may possibly be her Granny's marrow chutney, whose recipe is thoroughly explained in "Celebrate," Pippa Middleton, Kate's sister's recipe book.

Watch out for the special, "Our Queen at Ninety," which will air on March 27 at 8 p.m. on ITV.
