Current world No. 7 Judd Trump bagged his second World Snooker BAIC Motor China Open title with a conclusive 10-4 win over fellow Englishman Ricky Walden in the best-of-19 final at the Students Gymnasium in Beijing on Sunday.

The Chester professional cueman, who has earned back-to-back final appearance, immediately heated up in the early frames of the championship match, getting faster than his opponent. Walden, 33, claimed the opening frame with a break 71, and his clearance from the blue to black of the succeeding frame made it 2-0. Trump managed to win the next frame and Walden took the fourth to take a 3-1 lead.

But the match went in a different way as Trump won the next eight frames in a row and established a commanding 9-3 lead to secured a match point. Walden, who is the current world No. 10, kept his chances alive after pulling the 13th frame back with a run of 64. However, Trump still sealed the win in the 14th frame with a 55, according to Xinhua.

"I didn't play well at the start of the match, but from 3-1 down I played better and built a good lead," said Trump, who will be taking home a top prize money of about $122,000. "At 9-3 I lost my concentration a bit, but that helped me get my focus back and I made a good break in the last frame."

The penultimate event of the season was the fifth ranking title of Trump's snooker career and his first since the 2014 Australian Goldfields Open.

It was Trump's fifth ranking title of his career and his first since the 2014 Australian Goldfields Open. The win in Beijing will give him much confidence for the World Championship which will begin on the 16th of this month in Sheffield, England. The 26-year-old Bristol-born reached the final at the Crucible a few weeks after his first China Open triumph in 2011.

"I'm very happy to win this again. It's the first time I have won a tournament twice and it gives me a lot of confidence," he added.
