Alcatel Fierce XL Smartphone Receives Windows OS Update

Chinese tech giant Alcatel has started rolling out an update for its Windows 10 based smartphone called Fierce XL. The update has a build number 10.0.10586.218 that will enhance several features of the Windows 10 operating system.
The update is packed with several changes including the reliability, performance and stability improvements. The upgraded operating system now supports Visual Voicemail on Dual SIM phones. The Bluetooth connectivity was also enhance in terms of the reliability of connecting to and staying connected with other Bluetooth devices.

The Windows 10 update also fixed a problem that caused audio playback to get occasionally interrupted in Groove Music and other music apps when the phone display s tuirned off. Microsoft Edge Browser was also improved and it can now supports a configuring prompt before a file download occurs. It now also supports background downloads, and includes a fix for a problem where opening a link from an app would not load the web page.
Cortana was also upgraded. The virtual assistant guide can now reliably read text messages. In addition, the Store reliability has also been enhanced - fixing a problem that prevented some apps from being installed and updated. The problem that occasionally caused some apps to show blank tiles after upgrading from Windows Phone 8.1 was also fixed.
