As part of the celebration of Earth Day next week, Apple is starting an initiative that will give users a chance to give money to the World Wildlife Fund. The program called Apps For Earth will raise money through purchases of specially designated apps.
The program was launched on Thursday, April 14 and will run until April 24, two days after the Earth Day celebration. All the proceeds collected through the participating apps will go directly to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The WWF, the world's leading conservative organization, aims to protect the Earth's natural resources ranging from forests, oceans, to wildlife and food sources.
