Rapper Lil Kim shocked her Instagram followers after posting a collection of selfies wherein she looks completely unrecognizable.

The post that was uploaded to the social media platform on April 24th showed the 'Crush on You' singer with bleached blonde hair and what seems like bleached skin, she captioned the photo with 'Miami Heat' and did not give any explanation to her shocking new look.

The 40-year-old rapper is not new to plastic surgery after having gone through a series of surgeries to alter her look, fans of the singer were also quick to point out that she looks better than a couple years ago when she attended a red carpet event after a botched plastic surgery procedure that left her with a swollen face and an upturned nose.

But the positive comments were also mixed with some negative comments with one fan comparing to her a One Direction member while others were left concerned after news broke that Lil Kim has been going through self-esteem issues, user @CarefreeEssencx wrote "Lil Kim's self-hate stems from all the abuse, ridicule, and anti-blackness that she had faced that's why she changed her appearance." while @monicanen took to twitter to express her concern by saying "Lil Kim's surgeries break my heart, I don't want to talk about it." 

Another fan with the handle @dante2534 wrote "I am so sad for Lil Kim and her current face. Self-hate in our community is very real and worth discussing."

Lil Kim has yet to release a statement as to whether or not she has had more surgeries done to alter her look.
