Season 6 of The Walking Dead was difficult for Norman Reedus' character Daryl and here are a few reasons why it is highly likely that fans will not see him in the next season of the horror drama series.

The Walking Dead showrunner Scott Gimple teased fans that Negan's victim, shown at the end of season 6, will be "a character of consequence" and that the first part of season 7 will focus on the aftermath as well as the impact of the passing.

Due to this, there are speculations that if a minor character is Negan's victim, then not a lot of time would be spent discussing the ramifications. Moreover, among the characters Daryl, Glenn, and Abraham, Daryl is the only one who will impact the lives of the people he will leave behind the most. Not only will fans be devastated but Daryl seems to have a connection with every character in the show.

Another reason why Reedus' Daryl is the one likely to be killed is that the actor playing the character has several new projects under his belt. A quick glance at Reedus' IMDB profile reveals that aside from The Walking Dead, he's taken on new projects including, Sky, Triple 9 and Air.

Also, Daryl's death has already been hinted in an episode close to the finale.

Fans went wild when Reedus revealed that he knows who died in the hands of Negan. Asked to share his thoughts on the cliffhanger finale that fans went nuts over, the 47-year old actor told Today, "I know what happens."

Fans will still have to wait what happens to Reedus' character Daryl when the latest season of The Walking Dead premieres on AMC in October.
