Brazilian mixed martial artist Bethe Correia called out UFC women's champion Ronda Rosey after defeating Shayna Baszler, one of Rousey's "Four Horsewomen," in knockout fashion at UFC 177 on Saturday.

After the fight, Correia expressed her desire to get a title shot stating that she is coming to take Rousey's title.

The veteran Baszler was Correia's second victim under Rousey's faction. The 31-year-old also scored a victory over Jessamyn Duke in April at UFC 172.

According to Dana White, UFC president, Rousey is up to the challenge. In an interview with Yahoo Sports' Dave Doyle, "As soon as [Correia] started talking, [Rousey] texted me and said, 'I want that fight; I want it now,' " White said. "'I want it before someone else beats her,' and I said, 'Calm down, lady. You've got other people to fight. We'll figure it out.' "

The fight is definitely going to be exciting. However, UFC still have other lucrative options for Rousey's next match. One example is the ongoing negotiation with Gina Carano, the very first star of women's MMA.

However, Correia proved that she deserves to be included in the pursuit of a title. Her striking skills against Baszler definitely puts here in the discussion.

Despite majority of her wins going the distance, Correia stressed that she is not fighting for points. Through a translator, she wanted to prove that she can finish fights and she does not want to decide her fights through the scorecards.

In the first round, Correia almost lost when she was locked by Baszler into a nearly-completed armbar. The second round showed her force when she aimed to engage Baszler in a boxing match.

The match sent a statement that if ever Correia earns a shot at Rousey's title, it was not because of her being a Horsewomen-slayer. She's going to earn that opportunity because she earned it inside the octagon.
