In 2014, Disney confirmed that plans for "The Incredibles 2" were in the works, and this created hype to fans and kept them speculating on what the sequel of "The Incredibles" will contain.

According to a recent theory provided by the Reddit user, Professor_Wonder, it points out that the next antagonist of the animated franchise is none other than a member of the superhero family, Dash (the eldest son of  Bob and Helen Parr).

Professor_Wonder emphasized that Dash has been able to control his superpower ability, and he was also seen on the first film to be satisfied whenever he does something wrong. A good example is when Dash placed a tack on his teacher's chair.

On the other note, the director of "Finding Dory," Andrew Stanton, shared some details about "The Incredibles 2" during an interview with Gizmodo. Stanton exposed that fans may expect that the next film will be about a superhero family, given that the first installment did show that the Parr family became a team of superhero.

Stanton added that the director of the film franchise, Brad Bird, is aware that fans of the animated film are on the hype. He also confirms that Bird may be feeling an enormous amount of pressure, given that the first installment of "The Incredibles" was a blockbuster hit and did won an Oscar award.

Reports say that Stanton, aside from directing movies for Pixar, is also one of the members of Pixar's legendary Brain Trust. As a member, he helps in the brainstorming stage of movies, which means he could have deep knowledge in relation to the development and storylines of the long anticipated "The Incredibles 2."

Meanwhile, Pixar still hasn't revealed deeper details about the upcoming film; however, rumors has it that "The Incredibles 2" may appear on theaters in June 2019. With this time frame, fans are hoping that the next installment will be as good, or better, than the first one, giving a high amount of pressure on the team behind the sequel.
