Internet giant Google on Thursday introduced a new keyboard app called Gboard for iPhone, iPad and iPod users in the United States.

Gboard puts Google search into the typing interface, making browsing with mobile phones easier than ever.

The new iPhone app allows users to search and send information, GIFs, and emojis directly from keyboard. This means iOS users no longer have to leave the messaging app to search on safari.

"Searching and sending stuff on your phone shouldn't be that difficult. With Gboard, you can search and send all kinds of things-restaurant info, flight times, news articles-right from your keyboard. Anything you'd search on Google, you can search with Gboard," Google said on its blog.

It also features Glide Typing that allows users to type by sliding your finger from key to key instead of tapping.

"Results appear as cards with the key information front and center, such as the phone number, ratings and hours. With one tap, you can send it to your friend and you keep the conversation going," Google added.

Users of Apple's iOS in the U.S. can download Gboard from App Store.

Google has also introduced a 'tap to translate' feature for Android smartphone users. The U.S. headquartered search engine further announced that Google Translate will now work in offline mode for iOS users. It also added Word Lens in the Chinese Language.

"We're adding Word Lens in Chinese. It's our 29th language for instant visual translation, and it reads both to and from English, for both simplified and traditional Chinese," the company said in a press release.
