(Photo : Getty Images / Justin Sullivan) Apple is reportedly planning to release an all-glass iPhone in September.
Apple Inc. released a new handset in their iPhone line, the iPhone SE, just earlier this year. The phone has received positive feedback since it has been made available. Nevertheless, the iPhone SE is not exactly the next generation iPhone, and in fact, the handset is nothing more than a compact version of the iPhone 6.

Despite the fanfare surrounding the iPhone SE, Apple enthusiasts are still vehemently looking towards the announcement of the release of the iPhone 7. The tech giant has yet to definitively comment on the release date and specifications of the iPhone 7. However, fortunately for avid Apple followers, rumors and speculations as to what the upcoming phone has in store have made their way online.
Specifications
According to Mac Rumors, similar to the iPhone 6, the iPhone 7 would come in two different sizes. The publication suggests that both phones should be thinner than the iPhone available for purchase at present. The thin structure of the phone can be attributed towards the rumoured removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack on the iPhone 7.
Moreover, the phone is expected to be powered by next-generation A10 processors from TSMC. The iPhone 7 may ship with 2GB of RAM or 3 GB of RAM depending on the version and should be equipped with high performing cameras similar to the iPhone 6.
Design
BGR recently came across leaked drawings of the iPhone 7 final design. Based on the obtained blueprints, rumors about the 3.5mm headphone jack might be correct, hence, the new iPhone 7 would be significantly thinner. The iPhone 7 Plus might also be equipped with a smart connector. Aesthetically, the iPhone 7 would not be a far cry from the iPhone 6s. However, the unsightly antennas located at the back of 6s are expected to be axed with the release of the upcoming phone.
Release date and Pricing
Historically, Apple debuts its flagship phones around September every year. It is expected that the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus should arrive around fall of 2016. The iPhone 7 is rumoured to be priced at $1000 - $1200 depending on its storage capacity.
