Emma Roberts and Evan Peters have reportedly split up for the second time. The couple, who called off their engagement last year, have parted ways on amicable terms and continue to remain friends.

The American Horror Story co-stars got engaged in Christmas 2013 but called off their engagement in June 2015 before rekindling their romance two months later.

Roberts, 25, and Peters, 29, started dating in 2012 after meeting each other on the set of the dark comedy Adult World. In a 2014 interview, Roberts told Chelsea Handler that people wrongly assumed that she and Peters were dating while filming the indie flick.

"Everyone thought we dated on the movie and we didn't, not for a long time," Roberts said in the interview. "I actually, on the set, was like, 'Oh yeah, we're totally gonna date.' And I would try to, like, flirt with him, which ended up looking like I had something in my eye because I'd be like, 'Hey, what's up?' And he literally didn't speak to me the entire movie. He thought I was so weird."

While Peters will be seen in the highly anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse, in which he plays Quicksilver, Roberts will reprise her role as Queen Bee Chanel Oberlin in the upcoming second season of Scream Queens.

The on-again off-again couple grabbed headlines in 2013, when Roberts was arrested for domestic violence incident with Peters. The actress got into an altercation with Peters at a hotel in Montreal, leaving him with a bloody nose and bite marks.

In a joint statement issued later, they called it "an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding" and said they were "working together to move past it."
