Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman are heading for divorce after nearly four years of marriage.

Although the couple is yet to make it official, sources say that the two have been having marriage troubles for quite some time now.

"They are living separately. Over the past few months, things seem to be up and down with the couple," a source said. "He has not been involved in her company Flower. They seemed also to not be very close or connected as a couple. Drew never spoke bad about her husband, they just seemed very disconnected."

Barrymore, 41, and Kopelman, 38, tied the knot in June 2012 and have two daughters: Olive Barrymore Kopelman, 3, and Frankie Barrymore Kopelman, 1.

"Marriage is great and the kids are the best. I know that everyone says you're supposed to treat your spouse as equal as your kids, but I struggle every day of who I love the most. I love them all!" Barrymore said about being married to Kopelman in a December 2014 interview.

This is the "Blended" actress' third marriage that has ended in a divorce. In 1994, she married bartender Jeremy Thomas at the tender age of 19 before parting ways two months later. Barrymore married comedian and "Charlie's Angels" co-star, Tom Green, seven years later but the couple split up after five months after getting hitched.

The news of the separation comes a day after Barrymore shared an Instagram picture of a new tattoo she got of her kids' names on her wrist. "Getting a great little lifetime note on my arm," she captioned the photo.

Barrymore's last Instagram photo with her art consultant hubby was on their three-year anniversary in June 2015. "Happy anniversary Mr. Kopelman, cheers to you! I love you and I love our daughters !!!!!!!" she wrote alongside a picture of them enjoying a glass of wine.
