According to TENAA's listing, the Galaxy C5 measures 145.9 × 72 × 6.7mm in dimensions and weighs about 153 grams. The device comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box, and will be available in black, white and gold colors.

In terms of the camera, the listing shows that the phone has 16 megapixel unit on the back and an 8 megapixel camera on the front. It features a 5.2-inch LCD display screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels (Full HD). Under the hood, expect two different versions of the phone (Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core chipset): one with 1.5GHz, while the other with 1.2GHz. Other specs include a large 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of built-in memory storage.

To compare the Galaxy C5 with its sibling, the Galaxy C7 is said to feature a slightly larger 5.5-inch display screen with the same 1,080 x 1,920 Full HD pixels, 4GB of RAM, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor instead. Unfortunately, there is still no word on the rest of this phone's specifications. Additionally, it is said that the new Galaxy C line of smartphones will not be available elsewhere, except in the Chinese market.

On the same day of the announcement, another Chinese handset is also expected to be unveiled. It is the high-end ZTE Axon 7 which features the powerful Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 5.5-inch QHD touchscreen, 20MP rear camera, 8MP selfie-shooter and 3,140 mAh battery.
