Chongqing Lifan has not won a match since their season-opening 2-1 victory over defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande FC in March. Even with that, they are now settled at the ninth spot of the China top flight table as they were able to gain points from six draws in their last eight outings.

Head coach Chang Woe-ryong's squad is coming off a 1-1 draw against last season's China League One winners Yanbian Funde FC on the road at the Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium last Sunday, as per Soccerway.

Yanbian's Gambian forward Bubacarr Trawally opened the scoring at the 33rd minute of the contest from an assist by teammate Cui Min.

The visitors were able to equalize the count, though, at the 68th minute in the second half of play with a solo goal from Brazilian striker Jael Ferreira.

Meanwhile, Shanghai Shenhua demolished Guangzhou R&F, 5-1, at their home field of Hongkou Stadium also last Sunday, Xinhuanet reported.

Shenhua started scoring at the fifth minute with a strike from local forward Lu Zheng, which was immediately answered by Blue Lions striker Xiao Zhi six minutes later to make it 1-1 at the end of the half.

Manager Gregorio Manzano's boys turned on the floodgates in the second half by unleashing four goals, courtesy of team captain Giovanni Moreno, Cao Yunding, Demba Ba, and Obafemi Martins at the 66th, 76th, 84th, and 86th minutes respectively to complete their team's five-goal haul.

Shenhua is on a two-game unbeaten run and at the sixth spot of the current league table.

The predicted result is a 1-0 win for Shanghai Shenhua.
