The 53rd game of the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League ( VIVO IPL) will be played between Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) and Murali Vijay' Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Saturday.

The two sides will take on each other at YS Rajashekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

The Punjab outfit remains at the bottom of eight-team standings while Dhoni-led debutants RPS are placed at seventh position. Both teams are out of the playoff race.

The Pune-based franchise won their previous encounter against Delhi Daredevils while the Preity Zinta-owned KXIP lost their last t20 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Now both sides will try to win Saturday's game to avoid last place finish.
