The headline you've just read ain't a scam.
It's true and as Apple comes close to unveiling its new iPhone 6, resale sites have released a statement saying you can get the new iPhone for free -- but there's a catch.
Just five more days and people will be lining up at different Apple Stores worldwide. But you can actually avoid the long queues because you can trade-in your old iPhone and upgrade it to the iPhone 6.

The iPhone6 will retail at a whopping US$199 and will be bundled with a two-year wireless contract.
With a lot of trade-ins, it's still possible to sell an old iPhone to a resale site or online retailer for more than the price of iPhone 6. But you'll need to sign a two-year contract to get this done.
Those of you that bought an iPhone 5S or 5C last year and still have time left on their current contract will likely pay an early termination fee.
Reports show that the resale market is becoming more and more beneficial for those that want to buy iPhones. Gazelle will buy your 16 gigabyte iPhone 5S for US$300 while an iPhone 5 will go for US$185.
Wal-Mart offers US$275 for the iPhone 5s and US$166 for an iPhone 5. Apple, on the other hand, offers US$225 for an iPhone 5.
The iPhone 6 is expected to come in two screen sizes. One is at 4.7 inches and the other is at 5.5 inches.
Apple wants to compete with the larger screens n Android phones such as that of Samsung's
One tech expert said Apple is really urging everyone to upgrade, thus the growth in the trade-in and retail websites.
The trade-ins have seen drastic increases in volume during the past weeks. From a 150 percent increase in trade-ins last year for the iPhone 5, 5S, and 5c, trade-ins for the iPhone 6 have risen by 364 percent.
The bigger screen might have had an impact, says Mark Spoonauer, editor of LaptopMag.com. This debut of the iPhone 6e will put a lot of pressure on Samsung.
Not everyone's ecstatic about the iPhone 6. An Apple enthusiast said he won't be trading in his old iPhone for the latest model because he hasn't seen anything that would make him want to upgrade.
