Sports wireless headphone maker Jaybird has made a new set of wireless headphones that are smaller than the ones currently available on the market.
Dubbed the new Freedom Wireless Bluetooth Buds, this nifty piece of portable audio technology gives users freedom from those annoying wires while lessening the possibility of losing small in-ear sets, according to Tech Crunch. Although one cannot expect the new Freedom headphones to be top-of-the-line and equal to expensive wired headphones in performance, it does deliver sound good enough to be used daily on the streets as your everyday pair outside the gym.

Jaybird designed the new headphone set to have some features of the Freedom X sports line with a more refined look. The buds are produced by metal injection molding, which is made possible by Jaybird's new design architecture that transfers all the components usually found in the buds to the three-button remote that serves as the control panel.
Additionally, the buds are now 20 percent thinner than earlier models, and will be comfortable to wear compared to larger pieces. The combined size and make give the buds better aesthetics and a more rugged look compared to earlier models.
The new Freedom headphones are charged via a portable charging dock that clips to the unit's control remote. While it only possesses a four-hour battery life, the charging dock can give it an additional four hours on the go. This means that the more docks one has, the more power the headphone could have on the road.
In addition, Jaybird also offers an app that will allow users access an equalizer to customize the Freedom's sound profiles. It is quite basic and features some presets that are saved in the headphones directly, so that the settings are the same regardless of what device is connected to it. Although there are some connectivity issues reported, the Bluetooth connectivity that the Freedom offers is standard.
The Jaybird Freedom Wireless Bluetooth Buds are now available for $200 (about 1,310 yuan).
