Reports are out that the 69-year-old Hiddink will stay with the Blues next season as a consultant and advisor after incoming head coach Antonio Conte takes over from him this summer.

One of the Dutchman's planned future moves is said to be the re-acquiring of Cech, who served as starting goal tender at the Stamford Bridge for 11 seasons, from 2004 to 2015, until he was sold by former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho to the Gunners for £10 million last summer.

With Mourinho out and Conte coming in, Hiddink reportedly "has insisted that he wants to see Arsenal's Petr Cech back at Stamford Bridge" possibly for a new role with the Pensioners, Caught Offside reported.

Aside from Cech, Hiddink also mentioned former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba as another name who he wants to return to the Bridge as he believes that they had "great impact" to the club and its fans during their stay there.

Daily Mail Online noted that Hiddink had already "confirmed" that he will remain with Chelsea even as he makes way for Conte this summer and that he had already talked with the said club legends of possible behind-the-scenes careers after they have finished their playing careers.

"I have spoken with Didier Drogba. I spoke with Peter Cech. These are legends," Hiddink said. "They have had much impact here. Once they are really finished their playing career, they can be of great value to the club, such as assistant or scout."

Meanwhile, football analysts have criticized the Blues for having less young players coming out of their youth academy, but Hiddink defended the club and acknowledged himself as responsible for the emergence of their current young stars Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Bertrand Traore in the recently concluded term.

"You often see that the young players are not always easy to link up with the first team," he said. "You have to use them through sparingly, otherwise they can end up burnt out. I already did that with Bertrand Traore and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but it needs to happen more often."
